BLOOM COLORFULLY | NO. 04

Hi friends! Today, we are sharing another installment of our Bloom Colorfully series!

One of the common dilemmas our flower brides usually have when we meet for the first time is finding a photo of a bouquet or centerpiece and loving it, but having no idea what flowers were used to create the design!

Well, fear not, because we are breaking down the ingredients used in some of favorite our arrangements! This will be the perfect tool to take with you when planning your wedding color palette or floral must-have list!

The bride this arrangement was designed for asked for "loud flowers" and we promptly replied, "oh hells yeah, we can do loud!". The bold combination of burgundy, hot pink, and orange tempered with a touch of taupe made for some seriously amazing designs! They were a blast to create and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Scroll down to see more images and the floral ingredients we used to create these bold arrangements! And special thanks to Monica Salazar Photography for capturing them so beautifully!

HANNAH + MARIO | THE FILTER BUILDING

YAY!! It's #MARRIEDFACEMONDAY!

Today we're sharing the wedding of Hannah + Mario! These two tied the knot earlier this year at The Filter Building at White Rock Lake. Deep dark navy and feminine touches of soft blush made for the perfect palette against the exposed brick and industrial style of the venue. It was a gorgeous day on the lake surrounded by family and friends.

The First Look (when it happens) is usually my favorite moment of any wedding day and this one was no different. Hannah + Mario's blissful reaction upon seeing each other is all we need to remind us why we love weddings. This wedding had another uniquely memorable moment, a surprise dance performance by the ladies from the bride's side of the family. You won't want to miss the bride and her sisters reaction caught on camera below, it's one of the best timed shots ever!

See all the amazing details in the gallery below shot by one of our new favorites, Becca Kracht. And be sure to check out the full vendor team, it features so many new to us vendors!

VENUE HIGHLIGHT | HOUSE OF DIRT

Happy Wednesday friends!

Today we are showcasing a lovely little venue in Bishop Arts District, House of DIRT. This unique space is perfect for an intimate celebration that will make guests feel right at home. Formerly a dive bar, what this newly converted venue lacks in size it makes up for in character. House of DIRT features a permanent stage and arbor set in an outdoor park coupled with eclectic décor indoors, tied together with earthy, natural tones. Specializing in small events with under 75 guests, House of DIRT is a cozy venue for those unafraid to stray from the beaten path.

DIRT Flowers, the in-house florist, works magic transforming the space to match each couple’s vision. Other services offered by the venue include photography, entertainment, and local catering partners – everything you need for the perfect celebration! We can already picture it, a personal ceremony in the backyard followed by an indoor reception that feels more like a party with all your best friends and less like a cookie-cutter wedding.

This sweet yet funky venue has stolen our hearts, and we hope you feel the same way!

RECAP | LOVELY BRIDE GRAND OPENING

Hi Everyone! Happy Monday!

Today we're sharing a fun recap of the Lovely Bride Dallas Grand Opening party we were lucky enough to be a part of this Spring!

Lovely Bride is one of our all time favorite bridal gown salons in Dallas! We have collaborated with them on several photo shoots (like the flower goddess, the minimalist, this autumn boho bride, and the southern belle!!!) and the dresses are just too beautiful for words! Plus, the girls in the shop are the absolute sweetest!!

For their party, they wanted an interactive floral station, so we brought enough fun flowers and supplies for each attendee to make their own mini flower crown! It's always so fun to see people get creative and excited about playing with blooms!

Of course, we also had to provide a little extra dose of pretty for their already amazing shop!

Be sure to check out the full gallery and vendor team below! And special thank you to Allen Tsai for the beautiful images!

TIPS | CREATIVE WAYS TO ASK YOUR MAIDS

Congrats girl, you're engaged!! Let the wedding planning begin! There are lots of details to start considering and plenty of work to be done, but one of the best parts of the whole process is having your best gals (or guys!) by your side. So how will you pop the question? We’ve helped by gathering a few unique and creative ways to ask your maids!

1. Give JOY! Who doesn’t need a little French macaron action in their life? JOY Macarons is a specialty bakery in Dallas, Texas that handcrafts small batches of French macarons. They're light, delicious and perfect just the way they are, but let’s take it a step further and customize! For DIY brides, Michael’s sells an edible metallic candy paint that would be perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to the top of each macaron.

2.     Thanks for the memories! Parabo Press offers a customizable accordion fold zine that can display 14 different photos, so scroll through that Facebook timeline and Instagram feed and select the best photos that sum up your friendship. The zine is a great option to show your bridesmaid that you really took time to think of them and create something special that will last.

3.     Ladies Night! This last idea is more of an experience and has two main components: dinner reservations and wine. First step, grab a great bottle of wine and design a personalized label. It's easier than you think! Personal Wine has so many great options for creating a customized label. You can select a photo, add text, and even have the bottle engraved with a message for each bridesmaid. Etsy has pre-made labels for wine or beer bottles and they are super cute! The second step is to plan dinner for your friend(s) and bring the bottle! If you go out to a restaurant, ask the waiter to serve the bottle as an added surprise!

We're pretty sure all of these options would put a smile on any bridesmaid’s face and have them thinking you’re creative AF. Go ahead and check "Ask Bridesmaids" off your wedding to do list!
