BANLEIGH + CARL | THE WHITE SPARROW

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

Today we're welcoming fall by recapping Banleigh + Carl's gorgeous autumn wedding! The green and white color palette has become so popular recently, but this wedding feels fresh and unique because our bride, Banleigh, took that green and ran with it! We are obsessed with the deep emerald of her maids dresses and even this girl's eyes are an incredible shade of green!

For her florals, we wanted lots of texture and unique flower shapes. You won't find any traditional roses here! We kept it a little funky with dahlias, anmeones, and lots of queen anne's lace to bring in that pop of white against lush greenery.

The head table is truly what dreams are made of with a gorgeous garland runner full of textural greenery and garden style white blooms. Mixed with romantic gold candlesticks and votives to add soft candlelight while these two danced the night away. It couldn't have been more perfect!

CAROLINE + MACK | DALLAS ARBORETUM

Yay! It's #MarriedFaceMonday!

If color is your jam, you are going to be head over heels with today's wedding! Caroline + Mack tied the knot last fall at the Dallas Arboretum with a garden style vibe worthy of this famous Dallas wedding venue!

Caroline was such a stunning bride with a soft, clean romantic style and we feel like that perfectly influenced her wedding day design. We absolutely loved the collected look of her head table, full of romantic blooms in clear glass vases.

But our favorite element of the day? Her bouquet! This is hands-down one of our favorite bouquets ever. We just can't get enough of the mix of colors and how each blooms looks unique but cohesive. We'll never get over those Cafe Au Lait Dahlias either!

Thank you to Apryl Ann Photography for capturing every moment so beautifully!

CARLIE + CALEB | BRAKE & CLUTCH

Yay! It's Married Face Monday!

Today we're sharing the incredible, industrial wedding of Carlie + Caleb! These two tied the knot in September at the coolest new venue in Dallas, Brake & Clutch Warehouse. With it's exposed brick walls and dark beams, it was the perfect setting for this cool couple.

We brought in lots of cool textures and moody blooms to bring Carlie's vibe to life. That paired with the incredible gold velvet ribbon she found and Caleb's rad burgundy suit, and it was all just too gorgeous to handle!

Special thank you to Kali of Kindle & Gather for making the day run so smoothly and to Olivia Strohm Photography for the stunning images!

NOEL + CHRIS | NASHER SCULPTURE CENTER

Yay! It's Married Face Monday!

This one is a special one! Noel + Chris tied the knot in September at the Nasher Sculpture Center. When we first met with the couple, Noel told us about her family's flower farm in New Mexico where they grow fields of Gladiolus and how she wanted to incorporate these special blooms into her big day. We were so down!

Her family drove in flowers the week of the wedding and we had so much fun incorporating them into arrangements, bouquets, and creating a stunning ceremony arch dripping in these gorgeous blooms!

WEDDING GIFT ETIQUETTE

WEDDING GIFT ETIQUETTE

Hi friends!

Today we're excited to bring back our Tips series and break down some Wedding Gift Guidelines! Wedding gifts are a common tradition, but it can still be a little overwhelming to make sure your gift is perfect.

Without further ado, let's get into some etiquette!

DO'S

  • Do check the registry - You are guaranteed to give a gift they will love if you choose something from the registry! More than likely, the couple spent a solid day or two creating their registry with their exact needs in mind. Grab them that knife set they've been eyeing and they'll love you forever!
  • Send large gifts to the couple's home - Who wants to lug a microwave to a wedding in their fancy get up? Spare your back and the couple's family at the end of the night by shipping gifts directly to their home. Most registries will have this option built in to make it super simple!
  • Do send gift as close to the wedding as possible - Don't put off the gift! Make it easy on your self and the newlyweds and get that item off your checklist as close to the wedding date as possible!

  • Do check out Zola! Zola is an amazing registry resource where couples can register for all the classic home building items or even experiences or money for a specific investment (like home buying or a charitable cause!) It's an awesome, one stop for couples who don't want to go to a ton of stores to register at each individual one!

DON'T

  • Ask the couple where their registered - Yes, it's still considered bad form to ask directly where the couple is registered. Even though they did register, they don't want to seem like they are only after material goods. Check their wedding website or ask immediate family or bridal party members for specific instructions.
  • Don't feel guilty about giving cash - There is nothing wrong with giving cash! If it's easier for you, go ahead and stash some bills in a pretty card and sealed envelope. Make sure you look for a card box or give your envelope directly to someone close to the couple to ensure it makes it to its intended recipient.

  • Don't feel bad if you find out your gift was returned or exchanged - Even if you purchased something off the registry, it's possible that the couple received something similar or an exact duplicate. Sometimes, things like that happen, and your gift may be returned or exchanged. The thing to remember here is that you're giving a gift to help this newly married couple start their home. If they exchange your gift for something they need more, then you're still doing that! :)
