FEATURED | WHITE SPARROW EDITORIAL

Happy Thursday, friends!

Today we're so excited to share that our work is being featured on Grey Likes Weddings!

This editorial was planned and directed by the amazing team at The White Sparrow Barn and we are so thankful to have been chosen to design their floral elements. The design is so romantic with a heavy dose of drama. We love the soft white and blush contrasted with a pop of matte black. So stunning!

Our photographer, Callie Manion shot everything in film and the images are seriously jaw dropping. We just can't get enough of the magical quality film provides!

Be sure to scroll down to see the full vendor team and hop over to Grey Likes Weddings today to see the feature!

Happy Wednesday friends!! We're back this week with another from our MOST LOVED series because we seriously can't stop bragging about our friends!! Have you been swooning over those stunning Pinterest images of perfect beach waves and intricate braid work? STOP LOOKING! I have found your girl!

Macey Burns, owner of Styling by Macey, is a hair artist and braid magician. She specializes in natural, undone, textured styles - "the messier and more greenery the better!" And you know the girls at Celebrate Dallas are all about that! Get to know her and her jaw dropping style in our MOST LOVED vendor highlight this week!

We're so excited to welcome Macey as the newest member of The Coterie!

1. What are five words (or a 5 word sentence) that would describe you and/or your company the best?
Romantic. Undone. Effortless. Braids. Natural.

2. How’d you get into the hair styling game?
I actually started hair school when I was 16 years old. After working in a full-service salon for many years I realized I loved the styling part the most.  I’ve always been fascinated by how much someone can change their appearance just from their hair.

3. How should a bride decide what look she wants?
Choose something you know you will feel comfortable in. If you do not like your hair up and away from your face in everyday life, chances are you will probably not like it on your wedding day.

4. Have any tips for keeping the “getting ready” process stress-free on the wedding day?
Have your bridesmaids look at styles ahead of time instead of the morning of, and make a timeline for their hair/makeup services.

5. What is your favorite local hangout?
People’s Last Stand in Dallas! I love the atmosphere, as well as their Devil’s Advocate.

BLOOM COLORFULLY | NO. 04

Hi friends! Today, we are sharing another installment of our Bloom Colorfully series!

One of the common dilemmas our flower brides usually have when we meet for the first time is finding a photo of a bouquet or centerpiece and loving it, but having no idea what flowers were used to create the design!

Well, fear not, because we are breaking down the ingredients used in some of favorite our arrangements! This will be the perfect tool to take with you when planning your wedding color palette or floral must-have list!

The bride this arrangement was designed for asked for "loud flowers" and we promptly replied, "oh hells yeah, we can do loud!". The bold combination of burgundy, hot pink, and orange tempered with a touch of taupe made for some seriously amazing designs! They were a blast to create and we hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Scroll down to see more images and the floral ingredients we used to create these bold arrangements! And special thanks to Monica Salazar Photography for capturing them so beautifully!

HANNAH + MARIO | THE FILTER BUILDING

YAY!! It's #MARRIEDFACEMONDAY!

Today we're sharing the wedding of Hannah + Mario! These two tied the knot earlier this year at The Filter Building at White Rock Lake. Deep dark navy and feminine touches of soft blush made for the perfect palette against the exposed brick and industrial style of the venue. It was a gorgeous day on the lake surrounded by family and friends.

The First Look (when it happens) is usually my favorite moment of any wedding day and this one was no different. Hannah + Mario's blissful reaction upon seeing each other is all we need to remind us why we love weddings. This wedding had another uniquely memorable moment, a surprise dance performance by the ladies from the bride's side of the family. You won't want to miss the bride and her sisters reaction caught on camera below, it's one of the best timed shots ever!

See all the amazing details in the gallery below shot by one of our new favorites, Becca Kracht. And be sure to check out the full vendor team, it features so many new to us vendors!

VENUE HIGHLIGHT | HOUSE OF DIRT

Happy Wednesday friends!

Today we are showcasing a lovely little venue in Bishop Arts District, House of DIRT. This unique space is perfect for an intimate celebration that will make guests feel right at home. Formerly a dive bar, what this newly converted venue lacks in size it makes up for in character. House of DIRT features a permanent stage and arbor set in an outdoor park coupled with eclectic décor indoors, tied together with earthy, natural tones. Specializing in small events with under 75 guests, House of DIRT is a cozy venue for those unafraid to stray from the beaten path.

DIRT Flowers, the in-house florist, works magic transforming the space to match each couple’s vision. Other services offered by the venue include photography, entertainment, and local catering partners – everything you need for the perfect celebration! We can already picture it, a personal ceremony in the backyard followed by an indoor reception that feels more like a party with all your best friends and less like a cookie-cutter wedding.

This sweet yet funky venue has stolen our hearts, and we hope you feel the same way!
